國民黨總統參選人洪秀柱參選以來，選前換將的傳聞不斷，對於媒體今天(24日)報導黨中央將「抽柱換朱」，國民黨文傳會主委林奕華表示，國民黨全代會已於7月19日正式通過提名洪秀柱，黨中央與地方黨部也都已全面啟動輔選工作，相關報導完全是空穴來風，絕無此事。
自由時報24日報導指出，國民黨內兩名熟悉黨務和財經的主管，近來在黨內探詢「朱Ｘ配」的可能性，因為洪秀柱選情堪憂，但馬英九總統無法接受由立法院長王金平出馬，副總統吳敦義也表態不會參選，因此，黨中央考慮由黨主席朱立倫親征。
